David Lawrence Convention Center

Stand in awe of Pittsburgh’s prominent symbol of the city’s commitment to modern architecture and sustainable design. Since 2003, the center has hosted a variety of U.S. and international conferences and trade shows, as well as community gatherings.

A "Green" Convention Center

Named after former mayor David L. Lawrence, the convention center spans 1.5 million square feet and is one of the first "green" convention centers in the United States, earning Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. This commitment to sustainability incorporates environmentally friendly features, such as a green roof and energy-efficient systems, reflecting Pittsburgh's dedication to both innovation and environmental responsibility.

The convention center's distinctive location along the riverfront offers stunning views of the Allegheny River and the city skyline. This, along with its architectural significance and commitment to sustainability, contributes to its role as a central hub for events and gatherings in the heart of Pittsburgh.
